Breastfeeding / Bottle Feeding

We have a passion for infant feeding and would love to help you on your breastfeeding or bottle feeding journey. We work with you to determine why there may be issues and how to work through them while respecting your goals as a parent. We want you to experience joyful feeding with your baby.

Tongue and Lip Tie

Tongue tie is a condition present at birth that restricts the range of motion of the tongue. When the tongue doesn’t express milk efficiently, a variety of conditions may occur.

Symptoms of Ties in Breastfeeding Infants
- Colic
- Gas
- Lip blisters
- Gaining too much or too little weight
- Clicking at breast (or bottle)
- Dribbling milk
- GI problems

Symptoms of Ties in Breastfeeding Mothers
- Over-supply
- Under-supply
- Cracked/Bleeding Nipples
- Mastitis

Just because these symptoms are present, does not mean your baby has a tie. This is why we thoroughly assess infants for tongue and lip ties and work with you and your doctor to determine the best course of action.

We also work with our network of highly-trained providers that can help to release ties when needed. Our network of tongue tie professionals includes dentists, orthodontists, ENTs, and bodyworkers.

Notice the latch in these before and after videos? The video on the right is after a tongue tie revision and feeding therapy. The latch is deep and milk transfer is consistently easy with no tension around the mouth present.
